Mike Jarvis
Mr. Jarvis is a homeowner in Hawthorne who grew up in Hasbrouck Heights and attended the public schools
there. He is a graduate of Felician College in Lodi with a degree in History and has a Masters Degree in Education Administration
and Supervision from St. Peters College in Jersey City. He has been a teacher of Social Studies for the last nine years
and is currently teaching in the New Brunswick Health Sciences Technology High School and serves as head teacher. He
is also the 2007 recipient of the Governor's Teacher of the Year Award. Additionally, Mr. Jarvis has been a
soccer coach and a basketball coach for high school teams and a member of the Office of Emergency Management for the town
of Hasbrouck Heights as well as a member of the Muncpial Alliance Committee for Hawthorne and also serves on the Felician
College Alumni Board and is also the recording secretary of the Hawthorne Republican Club. In 2006, Mr. Jarvis was a
Congressional candidate for the 9th District and in 2008 was a candidate for the 1st Ward in Hawthorne.
